Intimate and down to earth elopement and micro wedding packages in Bendigo and central Victoria

Elope Bendigo is a partnership between celebrant Sue Begg and photographer Alli Campbell.

We have hundreds of weddings and elopements under our belt and a passion for crafting celebrations that centre on the things that really matter: the commitment you are making, the people you choose to witness it.

It is possible to get married in your own way - with two witnesses only or an intimate gang of your nearest and dearest. No need to stand in line for a stuffy Registry Office ceremony, you can choose a fabulous location or any time of the day to get married. Run your ideas past us and as long as they’re legal, we’ll most likely say, YES!

Elope Bendigo is a safe and joyful space that celebrates and welcomes all love, backgrounds, cultures, identities and orientations.

Sue Begg

CELEBRANT

Experienced, creative, flexible and vibrant, Sue knows how to engage a crowd (or a guest list of two!) with warmth and charisma.

Alli Campbell

PHOTOGRAPHER

Warm, down to earth and nearly unflappable, Alli brings a creative eye and a sense of humour. And a very big camera.

Another way to do things

Elope Bendigo began as a partnership between Sue Begg and photographer Jess White during the pandemic. It was an opportunity to offer couples a different way to approach the beginning of their marriage - without the fuss, overwhelm and huge expense of a traditional wedding.

Alli took the reins from Jess in 2024, though Jess still pops in for the occasional wedding when she can. We are all good friends, and love working closely together.

We are the Bendigo elopement specialists and love offering couples another way to get married. It is a great privilege to help you bring your celebration to life.

 FAQs

  • Elope Bendigo covers Greater Bendigo, Macedon Ranges and Hepburn Shire, Heathcote, Castlemaine, Maldon and other areas subject to request and availability.

There are modest travel charges for locations further than 10km from the Bendigo Post Office.

  • You need to give your celebrant at least one month’s written notice of your intention to marry in Australia. (Sue will help you with this) We can often accommodate weekday elopements in this kind of time frame, but weekends may need to be booked in advance.

  • Yes! Alli can be one of the witnesses, and we can provide the other witness if you wish for a small charge to cover their time.

  • The Elope Bendigo packages are celebrant and photographer, both at a discounted rate. Working closely together helps to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere during intimate celebrations, and also allows us to trouble shoot any hiccups that may arise on the day.

We love working together but you are of course welcome to book us individually at our normal rates via our respective websites.

  • Absolutely! Many people have somewhere in mind already, or we can help you find the perfect spot.

We’ve done backyards, gardens, bush, mountain tops, restaurants, hotels, vineyards, decommissioned country chapels, a tram, community halls - even a train platform. There are so many wonderful options!

Once you’ve locked in your booking, we will share our favourite places with you.

  • We get it! Truly, we do. This is one of the big reasons people choose a ‘non traditional’ wedding.

We’ll guide you through the planning process and get a really good sense of who you are and what your goals (and worries) are for the day.

Alli is experienced in helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera, as well as taking those natural shots as the ceremony unfolds.
